Situationalawareness.sbs Pushes Unwanted Ads
Situationalawareness dot sbs is a misleading website that will attempt to get unsolicited ads to display in your browser.
When you land on Situationalawareness dot sbs, the first thing you will see is a large blue box, skinned and designed to look like a Windows 10 interface window, telling you that your PC is "infected" and that you need to "run the virus removal procedure immediately". Even without taking anything else in mind, the fact that even this initial fake message intended to scare the visitor into submission uses such bad grammar should be a dead giveaway that the page has nothing to do with Windows or Microsoft.
The fake alert box will tell you that "if you leave this site, your computer will remain damaged and vulnerable". There are hundreds of similar domains online that push very obviously fake computer infection messages. Situationalawareness dot sbs is one of the least convincing ones.
Along with this, the page will bring up the browser's default "allow notifications" dialog box. Clicking "allow" in this will permit the misleading page to shove unwanted advertising in your browser. A lot of the time this type of misleading site will push ads that may link to unsafe content, other misleading pages, scams or potentially unwanted programs.
Just remember that no random web page can have this sort of information concerning your system and all those messages are fake and intended to get you into trouble. Simply close the tab the misleading page is open in and go on with your day.
