Secure Search Pro Rogue Browser Extension

Secure Search Pro is a browser extension that is made to promote the securesearch.pro fake search engine.

If you install Search Search Pro in your copy of Chrome, it will change your default search engine to the one the extension is pushing. It will not affect your home page or new blank tab content. However, any searches you make directly using the address bar will now be redirected and use the search engine used by the extension.

The issue here is twofold. On the one hand, using the search engine will trigger a 'known bad url' detection in one of the world's biggest open-source content-filtering extensions that stop bad links and known malicious files and URLs. Even if you allow the page that the search engine attempts to load, the link will bring up a blank trafficjunction dot com page with no results or content in it.

Given how Secure Search Pro behaves, there is no real reason to keep the extension installed in your browser.
