How to Find Forgotten Deskjet 3630 Printer Password
If you use a Deskjet 3630 printer, chances are you are using it from a device that is sending print tasks over wi-fi, as this is one of the printer's main features. However, in order to make use of the printer's wireless connectivity and task pooling features, you must have your password. You use this password to send tasks to the printer and have them approved for printing.
In case you have forgotten your password, you will find yourself unable to send print tasks from your mobile device or laptop over wi-fi. There is no reason to panic, however, as retrieving the password is a very easy task.
Depending on your specific model of Deskjet 3630, you will have to do one of the following:
- Power on the printer until the "power on" light is on and solid.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi Direct button, located in the left column of buttons, third from the top down.
- Keep the button pressed down until your "power on" light starts flashing and the printer starts automatically printing out a page.
- Once the page is printed, you will find your password on it.
In case this method doesn't work for your specific model of Deskjet 3630, you can try the following:
- Power on the printer until the "power on" light is on and solid.
- Press and hold both the Wireless button and the Information button.
- The printer will print out a page automatically.
- Once the page is printed, you will find your password on it.
Both of those methods are built-in precautions intended to provide a failsafe for similar occasions when the user forgets or loses their password for the device. Of course, this also means that anyone who has physical access to the printer can also follow the same procedure and then use the device over wi-fi once they have the password.
